Misinformation in the media--Part 2

From a Wall Street Journal article this morning:


"...Liquid crystal display TVs account for 82 percent(sic!) of sales for nonprojection flat-screen TVs...".


Oh Man. Where do they get this stuff? Don't they have a tech editor? I doubt the percentage is even 20 percent, even as much as I like LCD's.

I think they include LCD Monitors, not just LCD TVs to get that number.
They include all sizes, from just a few inches to 63".
I agree with Mark and Kilmar-


How many people still use a CRT Monitor with their computer these days!!!

Well, heck Cheridave, I do. Guess I'd best crank up the old buggy and git on down to that there store and pick me up a new-fangled gadget.

I do, on one computer at home, one at one job, and 17 at the other job.
same here. 17" Sony Trinitron CRT.


albeit, 5 years old and the next screen will be an LCD.
