Does anyone know if the Mits DVD DD-6020 or the DD-8020 have been purchased by someone yet.?

If so, can they respond on their performance.


Also, would like information on what or who is doing the repackaging.

Like, the DD-6000 was a Toshiba modle 9xxx or something like that.


Prices and reviews would also be appreciated.

Looks like Crazie Eddie is selling the 6020 now. I don't see any evidence of the sage for the 6020 or 8020 on Mits' website.

From what I am reading, it looks like they just started to ship these units.

Are these units made by Panasonic? Might the8020 yeild similar performance to the RP91, including audio CD perfomance?

the Mitsu. rep i spoke to seems to think they're rebadged Toshibas. looking at the remotes, though and they resemble pioneer remotes from past years. i doubt they're panasonics. my best guess is the Mitsu DD-6020 is the same as the Toshiba 4700 and the DD-8020 is the 5700. Note both 4700 and 5700 are Cinema Series players.

Got some pricing:

Someone said (in this thread) that Crazy Eddie had the 6020 for $369.

I have just found that BrandsMart and a local dealer has:

6020 for $298

and

8020 for $248

About a $50 difference between the two.


Both have the units in stock and displayed.


Still have not found anyone who has these with comments yet.


Still looking for comments on these or I have heard that they may be rebagged Tos units 4700 and 5700.

So if anyone has comments on the Tos units please feel welcome to comment.
