Mits DLP and displaying what it can really do

I have found through multiple tests the Mits DLPs display their best pq via the cable card and 1394 firewire input. The difference is very noticable. Blacks are blacker and detail is about 20-30% better than HDMI & component IMO. Have any of you noticed the same? I believe the difference is because raw data is being injected into the display and not processed through an outside source before entering the display. Check it out and share your thoughts.
