I have a budget of about $1300 for a projector to be used with a Panamorph U85 lens. I was thinking of getting a new Mits HC4000 or a low hour demo Mits HC6800.


Would I see much benefit from using the U85 lens?


If not, I would probably just sell the two U85 lenses I have sitting in my closet.


Oh yeah, I don't watch TV, so this setup would only be used for watching movies.

The benefit is that you get to use the full panel of the projector instead of 75% of it. Does the U85 have glass or plastic optics?

I think the U85 has plastic lenses.
