Just passing the information along the instructions didn't give this as an example but I tried it and it works. Most of you I assume are using some sort of stereo receiver for your sound and not using your TV and want the Mits SR-HD500 remote to work for you no matter which device you have selected especially when using the Sat device.
Program your stereo receiver as the 'Aux' button on your remote using the codes provided in the manual. Now you can copy the volume control from the 'Auz' device key to the 'Sat' key.
1) press the 'Sat' key and 'Mute' key simultaneously
2) press the 'Volume up' key
3) press the 'Aux' key
amazing isn't it..... you can repeat the steps holding down TV and Mute etc.....
