I'd like to know if I can use the 65813's RGBHV input for a pc video connection. I see newegg has a 12' vga to rgbhv with rca connectors. The Mits vga input only supports 640X480. Primitive. If its possible, do I just set the pc to output a resolution of 1920 x 1080 @ 60hz?

Incidentally I did try a pc with HDMI out, ran to my HDMI receiver to the DVI of the 65813. Got a picture for awhile, then it would blank out and I'd have to reboot the pc. It wasn't on the TV side of things. I think that might be a power supply issue with my pc and video card, its does it with a pc monitor too, though. VGA no problems.

The reason I'd like the pc instead of a streamer is because I can use Windows Media Center with 2 dual tuners to record OTA.

Anyway I'd like to know if anyone has ever used the rgbhv input with a pc with their old dinosaur.

Why not to try it? You need to run interlace signal to it (60i), on some video cards it will be marked 30Hz. If 65813 doesn't limit the bandwidth over DVI I would use that connection instead. Using PC totally makes sense and I wouldn't want to use anything else with CRT. You can calibrate your TV with PC and get ruler flat gamma, perfect greyscale. On my Dinosaur Pioneer PRO-730HDi I get incredible picture, I like it more than my 9g Kuro. Kuro is great in its own right but I get 3D image with RPTV that's scary.
