Hi everyone.
I have a Mitsubishi 55905 RPTV and just hooked up a new Pioneer Elite DV45A PS DVD player. I have noticed on this combination that the menus on the DVD player in 480p mode are overscanned a decent amount (I cannot see the very edges of the menu on either side of the screen) - which leads me to believe that I am also not seeing the full 480p of the movies I am watching as well. Now, I have some experience withe HTPC's and I know that all HDTV-ready sets overscan a little, but I am unable to find anywhere in the DVD player setup or the TV setup to adjust the "width" of the output of the TV.
I have been through all the convergence menus on the Mits and the setup options on the DVD player and still nothing jumps out at me. This may sound like a stupid request, but does anyone know how this can be adjusted? Does my TV have a service menu or something more advanced setup-wise that I need to be lookinhg at? Or, do I need to just go hire an ISF guy to come out and realign my set?
Thanks in advance,
JaMa
