Hello, I just bought the WD60C9, and love it!! I have a question about the DVI/PC audio input. I hooked up the PS3 audio rca wires with the multi-output enabled on the PS3 to this input. I was hoping the tv would accept this audio over the hdmi audio from the PS3 to output the sound properly but it didn't work, the sound was still muffled, any ideas. This worked with my old projection tv. The HDMI output from the PS3 is going to a receiver first then to the TV. I want this to work so I don't have to use my receiver all the time. Thanks.

Most likly onlly one of thje HDMI ports on your TV will accept R&W stereo audio input. Check your user's manual for which one. You may also have to change a setting in the TV to tell it to accept the stereo audio input instead of the HDMI audio input.

Thanks, I will try that. I have already tried HDMI input 2 and 3. Maybe HDMI input 1 will work. The manual doesn't mention the dvi/pc audio inputs very much and I haven't seen it in the tv menu. Maybe tech support can help.

The stereo ports that work with only one of the HDMI ports are mnormally located right next to the port for which they are designed and are often separate from the pair that work with another of the TVs interfaces. If you provide a link to your user's manual I may be able to provide better assistance.

The problem appears to be that there is no way for the TV to accept the R&W audio since it does this automaticaly apparently only if there is no HDMI audio. And since your PS3 apparently does not have a DVI output connector you can not use a DVI-HDMI cable or adapter to from it to the TV.

What is wrong with the PS3 audio over HDMI with your new TV?

The ps3 audio from hdmi goes to the receiver first, then to the tv, the problem is the audio going into the tv via the reciever hdmi out is pcm 5.1, the tv can't process this and the sound comes out muffled like it is only using the back channels of the 5.1. I turned off the hdmi audio from the reciever and connected the ps3 stereo audio output red/white cables with multi-output on to the dvi/pc stereo input. The hope was the tv would use this sound with the video only signal coming through the hdmi port. It didn't work. This process worked with my 5 year old projection tv that had one hdmi port, when it received audio into the dvi stereo port it accepted this audio over the incoming hdmi audio, (even said this in the manual). I think the only thing i can try now is send 2.0 stereo output from the ps3 in the menu so i can use the tv speakers only, when i dont want to have the surround sound system on, we have 2 small children. It is just a pain to go into the PS3 menu all the time to change the audio. I hope this explains what I am trying to do.
