I am seriously thinking about buying a mitsubishi 65 in model 65733 tv. Is this a good tv? Is there any known issues with this tv? This will be my first hdtv. I am going to make the swwitch to hd and hook up to direct tv. Is there a huge difference in analog tv and hdtv? Best buy has the 65733 for 1800.00 plus tax. I think this is a good deal. What do you think?

I think that's a very bad deal. The Mits 65734 which is a step up from that set, is typically about 200.00 more, and that set's been available at various times on sale for as low as 1350.00 delivered!!! Tigerdirect had it this low back on black friday. Seems as though for some reason from what I have seen the 65734 usually is on sale off and on where as I don't think I've really seen any sales for the 65733. If it was up to me I'd try and get the 65734 since for the extra 200.00 u get a bit more features which can help justify the price. Plus the fact that like I said, the 65734 goes on sale for very good prices.

I definitely would not want to pay 1800.00 for this set. There probably will be more sales once Super Bowl Sunday comes around.

Also both these sets are very good overall. There has been some minor issues with both of them but seem to have been corrected with the later production sets.

Doing a price search for the 65733, seems as though 1800.00 is a pretty common price for this set. So in that regard I guess it's a pretty good price.

if you can live with one less HDMI port, you can get the WDC657 from Costco for $1699 w/ the matching stand. (assuming you have a costco near you)...

I printed the 65733 price from RC Willey ($1599). Best Buy priced matched, included 2 day delivery, free haul away of old set (big set) and 3 free BlueRay discs.
