Hi folks... I apologize for clogging up the system here. I didn't want to put this question in the owner's thread because I'm not an owner. I'm looking to buy a set LARGER than 50" for a reasonable amount of money which puts me into DLP territory. I already know that if I buy a 50" it will be a Panny PX, but I'm evaluating my costs/maintenance over time with the ownership of a lamp/wheel DLP. Yes, I've looked into the Sammy 7 series and though that was the way to go but I don't want a blue LED going out on me in three years with no cheap way to fix it! I need a tv to go up to 10 years - not 5!

I've been reading up on Sammy lamp replacements and color wheel issues, but found that color wheels for Sammy sets are not that expensive and replaceable by the owner. However I have yet to come across any prices and replacement procedures for a Mitsu set. I do know the lamps are relatively inexpensive and that helps. I've seen some good prices on Mitsubishis and that could be my ticket to 60" of home theater.

Has anyone here done a color wheel replacement on a Mitsubishi? I'm looking at a 60735 or a 60c8. Thanks!

Samsung LED DLP is the way to go with an extended warranty...there is NO reason for anyone to buy a lamp based DLP with the lamp replacement and color issues.
