Hello, i have a chance to pick up a free Mitsubishi Diamond 65 inch RPCRT set. Not sure what the model # is. The person says it needs a convergance chip. Said it has a double image. Is this a simple fix? What i have seen it is a $400 part to replace. Any help/info would be great. Should i just pass on this?

It is not a huge deal to change convergence chips, there are two of them. Some soldering skill is involved. There are plenty of write-ups out there, only the manufacturers are different. Chips should not be too expensive. Mitsubishi Diamond model? Good sets!
