Even though I own a Toshiba HDTV, I have a lot of faith and support in Mitsubishi. They are against DVI and honestly back the consumer. This company totally believes in FIREWIRE and refuses to give in to Hollywood with DVI. Of all the manufacturers out there, MITSUBISHI supports the consumer's home recording rights.

If this thread is to be believed, they're also still supporting component connections too (both input and output) on their new VCR coming in August.

Sorry to disagree with you, but if they truly backed the "customer" (us vs. Hollywood), then they won't be supporting either copy protection scheme. DTCP (firewire) doesn't really look any more favorable to HDCP (DVI) from a customer's point of view.
