This one is a ***** to do. There is no easy way, the entire projector has to come apart. I got one out of a bar as well yearws ago, in fact it's still in my basement...
every 6 months we were in the place, taking it down, into the shop, blowing the crap out of it. Luckily I didn't sell it to the place, so I didn't feel bad when I charged them $300.00 for each time...
The problem is, there is a small air gap between the lenses and the tubes, and the nicotine gets in there. Like you say, it hazes out the tubes.
Just proceed slowly to remove the lenses from the tubes. You've already removed the wrong screw if liquid leaked out. It's been years since I did it, so I can't give you any better instructions, sorry!
Also note that you'll never get the convergence right on this one; one corner is always out and when you correct it, andother corner will be off.
