Recently Had my screen go black, replaced the Lamp and the tv worked for about 5 hours of use, then no picture again.

After resetting and letting the green timer reset and stop flashing, I press the power button. Hear a click like its trying to power on, but nothing.

the Lamp indicator flashes green AND the status led flashes Orange(or yellow i guess)

After about a minute, the lamp led goes off, but the status led continues to flash.

all doors on the back are shut, and filter has been cleaned, but still nothing... any ideas?

Not sure if I just got a bum lamp and need to send that back, or if its a different unrelated problem that just happened to be fixed temporarily by changing the bulb?

Do you hear more than one click when the tv is trying to turn on? Have you cleaned the inside of the tv completely in the last 6 moths? Do you hear any other strange noises coming from the back of the tv.

If it's more that two clicks, it's the ballast. How ever there are also two more possibilities that I have found with this model.

1.- In the power supply some capacitors are swollen from the top.

2.- There is a tempter switch in the middle of the inside of the tv, located around the light engine, that you'll have to reset.

Before you by any parts clean the back of the tv, just in case a fan is clogged up.

Good luck.

Folks I bought my wd 62725 about 5 years ago for around $5000. I had about a month or 2 of no being able to turn on the set without unplugging the cord, pushing the reset button, turning the tv on and off and sometimes it wouldn't turn on at all. Finally that was the norm and i just got the flashing greeen light. I know the TV was out of warranty but I felt that a call to Mitsubishi customer service was needed to let them know that $5000 for a 5 year tv was not acceptable. i bought the TV since i was told Mitsubishi was the best and lasted the longest. They were very nice and agrreed with me to help fix my TV. They rebuilt the chassis and I paid $350 for the labor wich was very fair. my TV works great now and Im very pleased with Mitsubishi's customer service. I will continue to be a loyal customer. For all the DLP TV's out there that have the blinking green light and won't turn on it is a problem that Mitsubishi will help you with. The TV's are awesome and cost too much not to get fixed. i still think the picture on mine is better than any i've seen to date.
