I have not seen many reviews on either of the above projectors. There is a 2002 thread on the 300 but not much in the way of answers.

Any thoughts from those who have seen them are much appreciated.

My uses: DVDs and Satellite t.v. Thanks in advance.

There is a good review on projectorcentral.com . It's in their list of recommended home theater projectors. I have one and love it. It has Faroudja DCDI for your interlaced inputs so is perfect for your needs.

There are some minor moire patterns with my XD300, but all-in-all, I'm very pleased with it.

I use it for my convention lighting & A/V work, and store it hanging from my living room ceiling where it gets fed component (via VGA adapter) from the DVD player & HD cable box, S- from the tape player, and S- or VGA from the computer. My desk is against the back of my sofa, with the projector directly above, so I can work on the computer and watch my favorite and/or play games on the 8 ft screen. And I haven't tried the split screen yet...I forgot! I'll let you know. I wish it had component and/or DVI inputs, but the rest of the great features and long lamp life will keep me happy until there is more HD content and hardware available. The digital cable HD does look great!

Hmm...splitscreen. Haven't even tried it yet. I only use one input - vga via htpc. It is a 2x colorwheel. I went from LCD to DLP with this pj and "noticed" rainbows my first few days and then just stopped seeing them without any conscious effort. Keep in mind that only a small percentage of the populace can even notice rainbows. A smaller percentage than that are bothered by them or get headaches from dlp. They wouldn't be so darned popular if that weren't the case. Buy from a reputable dealer that will let you return it if rainbows are actually a problem. This is a great projector.
