Does anyone know of or personally used a DirecTV dish/LNB w/a Dish Network receiver?

I moved into a place w/a DirecTV dual LBN dish installed and wired up. I don't want to subscribe to DirecTV but rather Dish Network. SO . . I purchased what appears to be a working, like-new (3000) Dish Network receiver/remote/card. After connecting it to the DirecTV dish/LNB, I don't got nuthin.

Do both lines on the dual LNB have to be either connected or terminated w/some sort of shunt?

Many thanks to anyone helping out,

-Joe

It should work, the LNB's are the same for D* and E*.

You will of course have to point the dish at a different satellite.

As far as I know, you can use one port on the dual. That is if the voltage requirements are the same for D and E. The other port on the dual would be for another receiver.
