Hi I'm new here and not a novice:)

I've had my polk 55t monitor series with a 10 in. Polk subwoofer as a 2.1 system I like for my music using a yamaha rx-v375 as my receiver

But want to upgrade to 5.1 for movies and games

Would it be ok to mix these the rear satelites and center speaker from the polk rm6750 series to go with my 55ts as my fronts

Rm6750 - http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16882290066

55t -

i would prefer this because bookshelves are too big for my room as rears

What would you guys recommend?

Would my 55ts be too overpowering and not match the rm6750 center speaker and rears when I'm watching in 5.1 ...As I would like to keep the 55ts when I switch to 2 channel for music

Thanks so much!

So I see the mid ranges match up better on this 15c center speaker...So even though I would like to save space with the satelite speakers would bookshelves speakers that have bigger speakers sound and match better u think also? Just in case If I did go that route or rears ain't as important as the front 3?
