Does anyone know where I can get an mkv file containing dts encoded audio to test my mult-channel surround sound? I am looking for something that will cycle through each of my speakers (I have 7.1).

TIA!

that sample doesnt do 7.1. Only 5.1.

Naturally. DTS does not support 7.1.

A 7.1 LPCM test file (WAV) is here .

DTS-HD supports 7.1 ... but if your purpose is just test your speaker settings, the above 7.1 WAV file should be enough.

strange problem with that file. When I play it in Windows Media Player and Zoom Player I don't get the surround right or left. I only get right, left, center, rear right, rear left, and lfe. I have ffdshow configured as the decoder and my computer which has an ATI 4550 is plugged into an Onkyo 806 via HDMI. The Windows speaker test plays fine on all speakers. Did I miss a configuration in ffdshow? I am using revision 3026 and during installation I selected 7.1 channels.
