I get a message every day telling me that the nightly update didn't work. When I try to force an update it goes through all the steps, including updating the channel guide but then hangs on "checking for new phone numbers". I searched here and found nothing that addresses this issue. I've also called tech support twice. First call was an Indian. She told me that "if the modem is being used to record a program then it can't dial out". Though, "Hmmm" and hung up.


Called again and got someone who gave me the answer to someone elses problem.


Please help! Anyone!
