I'm looking to set up an outdoor TV and all the outdoor specific ones seem to be quite expensive. Any suggestions for one more moderately priced? Or any suggestions on how to keep it protected with an enclosure of sorts?
Mine is relatively protected up in a corner under my patio (probably 10 feet back). But I just bought a Sceptre 50" LCD from walmart and got the 3 year protection plan for 44 dollars. Read it and it covers "humidity" so that was good enough for me.
I havent been able to find anything thats priced moderate imo. I have been looking at http://thetvshield.com - its an outdoor television enclosure / cabinet. Its somewhat pricey but is actually the cheapest fully enclosed option I can find and from the videos and reviews "on their site" it seems to be good. This seems to be the only option other than making one myself and I dont have the time to work something out like this. Theres is pretty full featured..
Has anyone checked them out. Theres another thread but they guy didnt respond back if he purchased and what he thought. Ive had two regular tv's go out on me and im looking to not keep replacing them even though im buying budget tv's.
