Will the 720p output of the Momitsu do a true 1:1 bit mapping to a Sammy DLP, like one can get with a HTPC? If not, can the custom output be configured to get it?

Yes, 1280x720 is one of the options available from either component, RGB or DVI from the Momitsu. Hope this helps.

I know the Momitsu and several other up-converting players will have a canned 720p output, but does that necessarily mean it's a perfect 1:1 bit mapping for a Sammy DLP?

Will it have an option of 1024 x 1024??? or should people that TV's support that resolution just select 1080i???

Mike, The Sammy's NR is [email protected] which is HDTV 720P. If you don't get 1:1 from any DVI output device using 720P, something is wrong.
