I won't be able to flash the new firmware for a few months while I holiday in Europe but I'm dying to know if the interlaced Pal resolution has been fixed. Could someone put me out of my misery?

If you want [email protected], it still is reported by my projector as 60Hz, so it seems to be still not fixed..

Does it give jerky playback with you too if used at 60Hz? It's either the pal 60Hz that just doesn't fit or my projector can't keep up at pans.. It looks ugly..

Vjen,

Thanks for the reply, I'd given up hope of a response.

Fortunately I have a CRT projector (Sony 1272qm) which can display almost any analog signal.

Before the custom resolution firmware, I tested Pal 720p and 1080i, at 60Hz. Both were jerky but 1080i was the worst of the two. It's not your projectors fault.

Now, I use a custom 720p @50Hz, which is great, but I like the idea of reducing the stress on the projector by using 1080i @50Hz.

You'd think the brains at Momitsu would pull their finger out.

Cheers,

Miso

Vjren,

The Momitsu V880 outputs analog (VGA) through its DVI-I connector, all you need is a cheap DVI-I to VGA adapter (about $10).

The custom settings set the VGA output - thats the only way I use the Momitsu.

EmuMannen made available a neat little program for calculating custom resolutions called
CR4V880 , and that's what I used to generate the [email protected] numbers.

29650 5000

0896 0016

I hope this helps you get a jerk free 720p

Cheers,
