I have Denon 2312CI with Jamo S606 HCS3 5.1 speakers and Polk PSW505. I feel like the Jamo speakers are not powerful. So I am planning to buy two polk floor standing speakers. I wanted to decide between monitor 70, 75T and Tsi500.

Monitor 75t 2 speakers - 400$ in newegg

Refurbished monitor 70 pair - 375$ from ebay polk store

Tsi500 pair - 800$

The price-wise I dont see any difference between 70 & 75t. But Tsi500 is 200$ more per piece. I heard from my friend that Tsi 500 is same spec as monitor 70. Both differ only in the look(finishing). Is it worth spending 400$ more in Tsi500? If not, which one you suggest between 70 & 75T?

Thanks

Siva

Basically all the same speakers. They moved the tweeter to the top on the 75T and the Tsi500 is a Monitor 70 in a different cabinet.

Pick whichever one appeals to you more. For $800 it wouldn't be the Tsi500 when the other two can be had for $400/pr.

You'll get a 5 year warranty on the new 75T

2 year warranty on the refurb Monitor 70.

Tsi500 cost way too much to bother.

If you're gonna spend $800/pr then get RTiA7's.

+1... My vote would be for the 75T's since they are brand new and only $25 more than refurb 70s.

If you were going to spend $800, you could get the Wharfedale Diamond 10.4 speakers which IMO are much better-sounding than the Polks.

For $400, any floor-standing speaker you get will be a relatively low-resolution speaker, but the 75T is a good bang for the bucks (but don't expect them to go down to 30 Hz...40 is closer to the truth...lol).
