I am seeking recommendations for sattelite speakers (monitors) to mate with a pair of Velodyne HGS 18s. My intent is to create a short list based on member opinions to further examine (audition)for myself. Price ceiling, under $4k.


I have recently listened to M&K S150Ps ($3800) and was pretty impressed. But, is there something else out there to consider?


Application, 50% HT 50% Music, and I utilize a Aerial CC-3 for center (this speaker has adjustments to tonally adjust to other speakers.) I have considered Aerial 10Ts but my home theater room is to small, thus require monitor type speaker.

why dont you give Mike Kelly at Aerial a call- I heard a rumor that they are working on a vertically mountable version of the cc-3. I dont know if that would be still too big for you- but if its not, youd have the same speaker all around.

This brings a question I've been meaning to ask - why not 3 cc3s across the front? For a dedicated home theater, it doesn't seem like you'd be losing anything.

I just recently listened to some Monitor Audio Studio 20SE celebrations. Low profile speaker, amazing imaging in stereo mode,,,,, anyone else have comments on these?
