I am looking at building a mini-home theater in my office. I already have a dedicated theater but want something a little smaller, more suited to loud music and gaming.
I'm thinking somewhere around $1K per floor standing speaker. I have Monolith subs and see they released floor standers. Anyone have opinions? I live in Alaska so free shipping to demo them is not going to happen. Monolith THX-465T Speakers - any reviews?

I was also looking at Focal and Revel as well as SVS Pinnacle. I want something that doesn't need 2' of space behind it. Room is about 2500 ft^3.

Hey adversary, I’ve had the 465T for about 3 months and I really like them. As would be expected, they are dynamic and can play very loud. I watch movies/game above reference and they don’t break up/distort and they’re not harsh. Sound is smooth and full.

They are the largest speakers I own and I do not have anything to compare them to. Vocals are very clear. They are front ported so close wall placement should not be a big issue. Mine are about 18’ from the wall.
My room is ~3400^3
