This weekend I got to listen to the Monster Cable audio equipment and have to say it is very impressive. They have 1,000watt/channel amps, speakers, and audio furniture. The furniture is espeically beatiful. Something that any wife would not say no to. It is very well carfted and of excellent quality.
As for the audio system, it was most excellent. Even my wife, who does not really care on what her music is played on, was impressed.
One set of speakers are 7 feet high with a sub woofer attahed at the bottom of each speaker. The subs can be incorporated into the furniture with no sign that they are there. Same with the equipment.
The music/video was clear and non fatiguing at high volumes. Transient response was outstanding. Bass was tight and not boomy.
Of course, all of this comes at a price, but in the audiophile eyes, it is in line with high end equipment. The 2 channel amp was $2,500 and the 3 channel amp $3,500. All is way out of my reach, but it was sure nice to listen to. If anyone is looking into esoteric high end equipment, Monster is worth a look at.
