Just got an email from my contact at Universal and he lists the following as being prepped for HD-DVD release in the second-half of 2007:

21 Grams

About A Boy

American Pie

Brotherhood of the Wolf

Cape Fear

The Emperor's Club

The Family Man

Gosford Park

K-Pax

Love Actually

Muholland Drive

Thanks for the news about Brotherhood of the Wolf. I really like this movie and did not want to have to import it.

I was hoping for LOVE ACTUALLY. That has become a favorite of mine and I watch it around Christmas every year. CAPE FEAR is well-made film but it creeps me out. By the way, CAPE FEAR is an AMBLIN title. ABOUT A BOY, 21 GRAMS, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF...looks like I will be spending alot of $$$ this Fall.

well i hope they try to live up to their "[email protected]@k and sound of perfect" pitch.

universal's catalog titles are unreliable when it comes to quality (particularly video wise). i wish they'd create new masters for all titles that are even slightly below par ... so that'll happen ...

Could these be Universal's lost August titles??? Remember that list that came out in March that had releases for April through September, but August only had Heroes Season 1 listed and nothing else. If this comes true American Pie, Cape Fear and BOTW for me.

Well, with the exception of American Pie, I don't really consider any of these to be really biggie titles. So August may make sense. Assuming this list is accurate (a big assumption), they could very well be for August.

(Pure speculation): Then we could see some horror-type titles for October (Universal Monsters?) and maybe some nice surprises for the holidays.

Guys, Moderator DrDon has varified my sources. I felt that was the best way to bring credibilty to my "coming soon" lists, while still protecting the anonymity of my sources. Doc posted this in the beginning of the "Consolidated List of Blu-ray Releases" thread.

If you do not want to believe this list, then so be it, but please do not turn this in to a personal attack thread though if at all possible.

Other than American Pie, this list doesn't really impress me. When do we get Spielberg's collection.

Don't see much info here, sorry. A title I've really been watching/waiting for as a MUST buy is American Pie, and that has LONG SINCE been hinted at as coming this year on a gazillion sites, and seeing as how were well into May, its now safe to say its coming in the second half, duh, no phantom source even needed...not sure on the others because most don't interest me so I never noticed if they were also already slated for 07...

What, pray tell, is "a non pitch issue..." 'Brotherwood of the Wolf'?
