I want a nice set of comfy headphones that have a neutral sound that aren't biased, for say the base end, nor color by amplifying certain ranges the speakers can't handle.
My situation:
I want to get a digital piano to replace my acoustic baby grand. The neighbor comes home at odd hours from work, so is rarely here. While playing the piano I don't hear him come home which is random. He pounds on my wall even if it's in the morning or middle of the afternoon if he's home.
So now I reluctantly have to get rid of my baby grand for a digital.
My requirements are over the ear to isolate the sound so my kids don't bother me. I also want the best comfort with my secondary requirement being sound. Looks, style, nor brand are important to me.
I narrowed it down after a few hours of research to the Shure SRH440. Another requirement is there can be no leather, faux leather is fine as long as it's still comfortable wearing several hours at a time.
Would those work? Or is there something else? I liked the Sony MDR-V6 until I read and watched reviews how they bias to particular frequencies meant for sound mixing.

Looks like there's really nothing in my price range, except if I up it to the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm, which are ~$140, but that's the absolute max I'm willing to spend. These seem to fit all my requirements except the driver isn't neutral and boosts the highs. But they looked so comfy! Thumbs down
The AKG Pro Audio K271 MKII looks like it may be a contender, but the headband doesn't look as padded as the others. Other than that, these look super close.
Possibly the Pioneer HRM-5?
