I just switched from DirecTV with TiVo to Cox Cable for the HD content. Does anyone know if its possible to enable the Motorola DVR with 30-second skip ahead like I had with my TiVo? Thanks!

I'm not sure it will work with the Cox DCT-6416 but here are some instructions to try.

Hey thanks! Now what about picture-in-picture? I've got 60-inch Sony and 42-inch Samsung HD TVs, each with the Motorola DVR. Do you know how I can do PIP? Is that a "TV-dependent" feature or "DVR-dependent" feature?

I don't think you can do PIP with 2 separate programs on the DVR. You can see a small picture from the guide or a menu.


If your TVs have PIP feature you might be able to split the output or use the SD output of each DVR and connect it to the PIP inputs of the TVs. Check your TV's user guide to see if you have pip feature and how this is done.
