My ceiling is 7'6". I am planning on getting a Sony HS-51 with a 92" Da-lite high power Model C pull down. How high shoild the screen be mounted, or does it matter becuase the SOny has lens shift?

I would also appreciate an answer to gnelsen's question. I also have a 7' 6" ceiling and really need to mount the screen as high as possible, maybe 3" from the ceiling if that's ok. My ceiling and walls would be a dark color.

From the Sony pdf file: The picture moves up or down by a maximum of th screen size from the center of the lens.


So I interpret that if your doing a ceiling mount, and the height of the picture size is 50 inches. You can have the top of the screen 25 inches from the height of the center lens.

I thought the rule of thumb was to have the 1/3 mark of the screen at eye level to reduce neck strain.
