HELP! I was planning on ceiling mounting my TV3 but the ceiling (I just discovered) is sheet rock with a good bit of space above. My stud finder came up empty. Can the sheet rock hold it? What kind of screws should I use (I am an idiot and am very clueless).

Help me please I want to watch the Pats today at 3pm!!

You take some risk not screwing into a stud. They have to be there, usually 16" on center. Perhaps they are running a right angles to the direction you expect? If your stud finder can't locate them, then your stuck with drilling/nailing test holes until you locate where they are located.

Hello:

You don't say what kind of mounting plate you have or how heavy the pj is. I'm not familar with the TV3.

You probably will want to span the joists for a secure mounting. As far as screws go regular lag screws should be sufficient.

Also, you will need a mounting that allows for fine adjustments on the projector to center on your screen.
