I'm getting around to wall mounting my Mirage Nanosats. As you can see from the pic below, I have an installed drop ceiling. What I was planning on doing was mounting the speakers to the wall via the included L bracket and simply screwing the mount directly to the drywall making sure I hit a stud. Additionally I was going to drill a hole into the drywall and run the wire inside the wall and out the hole, connecting to the speakers.

I just had an alternate idea. Why not cut a notch in the ceiling panel and avoid the hassle of running the wire behind the drywall? Also, I could drill a large enough hole in the metal runner that holds the ceiling panel to assure that the ceiling panels will remain flush after installation. The speakers will sit high very close to the ceiling (pointed downward) such that most/all of the work done will be hidden, unless someone that's 7 feet tall walks by to inspect.

What do you think?

1 - drill hole in drywall, run speaker wire through wall

2 - cut notch in ceiling panel / drill hole in metal runner

Thanks for your suggestions
