I'm looking for a projector and many people recommend that I use an HTPC with it. I watch a lot of subtitled material, and I've read in another thread that there was a tweak for D-ILA projectors that made it possible to display a widescreen picture on the top part of the D-ILA panel.

Now, what I want is more or less that, but with a twist. I'd like to display the picture on the top part of an XGA 4:3 projector and use the bottom to display the subtitles, so that they don't intrude in the picture.

I know Zoomplayer is incredibly flexible, but I don't know if this player or any other can do this.

Thanks.

Zoomplayer can definitely move the picture around, but the subtitles are a function of the DVD player. By their nature, I think that has to appear inside the frame.
