CORDELE, Ga. -- A Georgia man facing arson charges for burning his own home is blaming nine or 10 beers, and a disaster movie.


Charles Adams told Crisp County authorities he had been drinking while watching the movie "Day After Tomorrow."


Adams allegedly told deputies that after watching the special-effects extravaganza depicting deadly natural disasters caused by global warming, he decided to set fire to pillows on his bed.


The flames destroyed his doublewide mobile home.

If E.T. is up there watching us then this is truly proof that ****-sapiens are indeed at heart a very stupid species ( some might argue its just the male of the species ) i can picture the scene E.T. drinking with Charles Adams who begins to burn his house down and E.T. frantically running about the house saying "phone 911"


I sure hope that guy doesn't watch The Poseidon Adventure as he'll probably turn all the taps on and flood his next home.
