I am helping an Assisted Living Center setup clear sound for their large movie room. They dont want surround sound, but more of the clear voices from Movies & TV shows-center channel type stuff.

Most of the residents are obviously hard of hearing, so we would like to put several clear voice speakers at different points around the room-center, middle left & middle right. Trying to make it so that the people front center arent getting blared out & the people on the sides cant hear the voices clearly. Thoughts on what the best setup would be for this?

No need for a sub or rears. The room is 20 Wide x 30 Long. Budget is under $1,000. Thanks!

Since they are all in wheelchairs already make it like a Drive-In Theater with a speaker on a post at each parking spot.

Couldn't resist, Mother (94) is temporarily at rehab right now.

How lively is the room? My second thought is those (worst case) 20/30ms delays from the distant speakers.

Seems a bit strange, but would 3 center channel speakers work? AVR center channel wired to Speaker Selector w/ VC wired out to 3 center channels... Other options?
