I have a Sony 51" RPTV and am planning on moving soon, so I am looking for some advice on the best way to move the TV. I am going a 5 hour drive and am worried about the vibrations screwing up the convergence, etc.

Any suggestions on the best way to move my set?

Thanks.

Hard to say really, if you don't have the box you are at the mercy of how bumpy the ride is. It is likely either way that the convergence will shift and you'll have to fine tune it again, especially over a drive like that. My only thoughts would be to obviously secure it from moving at all and if you can, get some foam to put it on.

Maybe check with the store you bought the set at and see if they have any of the bottoms with the foam they would normally ship on and see if you can get one that can be used for your TV. That way you get a stable base. Even if you don't get the exact bottom for your TV you can get another and maybe trim the foam a bit.
