Current setup is a BIC VK12 subwoofer paired to Polk Monitor 60s, CS2, and old-school RT/FX surrounds. All driven from an Onkyo TX-SR606. 95% of my usage is movies & TV. My apartment's family room is a fair size (20x20x8) and is carpeted; one wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, though who knows where I'll be next year.

I like my VK12 but there's a local seller with the Polk DSW MicroPRO 2000 at a good deal. Would it be an upgrade, lateral move, or a downgrade?

i would never consider an 8 inch sub for HT no matter the brand.

it may be ok for music in a small room but there are still far better choices.

It's a 10" woofer. The guy wants $250.

per your link above the micropro 2000 has an 8" driver.
