From the RSN announcement in July....

"Coming mid October '06: Madison Square Garden, FSN NY, Sun Sports, FSN Ohio, HD Net(Sports)"

Any update if these are on track, especially MSG and FSN NY ?

yes, exactly. and basketball season is not far off either. right now the nets should be covered since we get yes hd, but we need the devils (fsn) rangers and knicks (msg) as well. the hell with the islanders...

What are you talking about? I've had MSGHD and FSNYHD for years!
Not on Comcast, they only preempt INHD2 with either YESHD, MSGHD or SNYHD and YES get priority, so if the Nets and Rangers are on the same night and both in HD, we only can see the Nets. ANyone hear anything about getting 2-3 special events channels for Comcast of NJ?

I've heard that Comcast is supposedly working on a resolution to the problem, but I haven't obviously heard what the solution would be (fulltime channels, HD Special Event channels etc.). If I hear anything I'll let you know.

I'm not quite sure when they'll be added but from how long it took CSN Chicago I'm hoping that it can be on our guides before Christmas. Not to sound pessimistic its just D* has a way of being fashionbly late with the RSNs in HD. The fact that it will be on D* sometime soon though is fantastic as now I can finally drop Cablevision for good.

I've got my reasons.
Same here. I prefer my household be dolan-free, thank you very much. Oh, that and a few extra national HD channels. :)

I heard that they might be adding a special events channel, but otherwise are going to get clearance for preemption of programming on other HD channels, such as CN8HD which hasn't even started yet and INHD, when there are multiple games on the same night. Don't expect it for the beginning of the NHL season though (a while back, I heard hopefully by November).

Do we know for sure that Dolan will "allow" the HD signals (MSG and FSNY) to be fed to D*TV anytime soon?? D*TV announces LOTS of things that never come to be....

Can ANYONE with the new HR-20 in NYC area check to see if the Rangers/Capitals game for Thurs. night is in their guide in HD??? Pretty please????
I need clarification on this too. From reading the other thread it would appear that you'd have two channels 621s - one SD, one HD - where only games would be shown. Is that really the case for Thursday night? The channel grid on DirecTV's site shows only one MSG channel.

nothing listed for thursday night on any channel in the 90's. there is a sabres game listed for wednesday (tomorrow) on 95, but no sign of rangers or devils games yet...
The Buffalo vs Carolina game on Wednesday is the HD game on Versus (fka OLN).
