In addition to the standard-def DVD, you can buy Muffin Man in a 2-disc set with a Hi-Def (PC-playable) version on disc 2. From what I've read, this movie makes SUPER SIZE ME look tame by comparison:

Save your money.



Some things just were not meant to be shown in HD, such as cottage cheese.


This movie may be one of those things not even meant for standard definition.


It is basically a one-set movie, this could easily be done as a play.


I didn't find this movie funny, even though it tries to be funny.

It is depressing more than anything else. I felt sad for the actors

in the movie. Their health is at serious risk.



There was one touching moment at the very end of the movie.



By all means, rent this or see it on cable, but it is not worth the purchase price.

I can see where some people would NOT like Muffin Man, but I really loved it. Yes, it was low budget and campy, politically incorrect and controversial. It basically tears all of humanity a new a-hole. Acting was great, for a low budget movie, and I really loved some of the subtle set dressing (the hamburger couch, heat lamp end table, etc). I would rank this as definite "must see".
