Multi-colored vertical lines on Plasma TV

Hello, all. About a month ago we started noticing these strange vertical lines show up on our tv, sometimes they go away after a period of time, but are consistently visible when we first turn the tv on. anyone seen anything like this? i will attach some pictures for reference. first set of images shows solid lines that are colored depending on the content, the second set show how the colors of each set of lines shows up on the black background, and are dashed.
the lines are in groups of 5 or 6 and are blue, red, yellow and green scattered across the screen in no apparent order.
