i would like to have a longer cord for my Sony multitap(PS2), about 15", would it be feasible to just splice into the existing cord and add 12"? or should i try to change the hole cord, would it have to be shielded?

I did the same thing several years ago, it still holds up. I took a 25 foot printer cable and cut 10 feet off of it, and soldered it to both ends of the cut multi-tap cord. Only problem is the memory card slots on the multi-tap don't to work.

well i only need 15" so do you think it would still work?

I dont see why it wouldnt. If 10 feet for me works, I dont see why 12" wouldnt.
