Hi guy's,

I was playing around with hsu subwoofer spreadsheet that they had.

Iv followed the instructions and this what i came up with,it says for music set sub woofer for 74 db for music and for home theater use 77 db? i think thats a bit much.

should i just tune at 75 db and leave it? here is a attachment, does that look right? what your thoughts?

Ultimately once you have a point of reference, it's a matter of preference and taste whether to run hot or not. I'd see what sounds best during the majority of what you listen to and leave it at that setting. Some AVR's will let you set different sub levels automatically depending on the surround mode you are using.
i do the exact opposite. i run my sub at 76db for 2 channel music and 73db for ht, tv, games, pretty much anything with an LFE track.

taking the RS meters inaccuracy into account this means i run 1db hot for movies and such, and 4db hot for music.

I think most people run hotter for music. Me personally I just set my sub 5-7db hot all the time

there are times when i feel like my "movie" setting is already to hot and it's pretty much flat. sometimes stuff on cable tv seems to have to much LFE already IMO.

Everyone's room and setup are different. I just use what works best in mine. I rare if ever notice too much LFE on DirecTV. Not sure if cable is different but the Dolby Digital signal I get sounds good to my ears where I'm tuned.
