is there some sort of software or web site that can analyze a small audio clip and then search for related songs?


i have an old podcast that has a song as a bumper and i have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what song it is.

There is a web service that claims to do this. It will then offer to sell you the MP3. Be darned if I can remember the name. It can identify the exact recording, not just the basic song. Do some web searching, you should be able to find it. For it to work, it would have to have some pattern info from the tune, so if it is old or obscure, may not hit.
