I would like to hear some recommendations for a subwoofer priced under $1200 dollars that will work in a room size of about 4200 cubic feet. I listen to HT/TV about 65-70% and music the rest. Any one with experience with the Velodyne DLS 5000, Pinnacle supersonic, AV123's UFW=12??

Martin logan has some fine subs.I have the grotto and it really excels in Music and HT.And if WAF matters this is a very good looking sub.Cant compare it to any of the svs or hsu subs since i've never heard them,even though everyone here on the forum seem to swear by them.I'm sure they are great as everyone says.

I have heard alot of good things about AV123's UFW-12, but I also know that Mark Seation is designing a "Hot Rodded" MK2 version of it. So if you are interested in that, I would contact them and see when they plan on releasing it.


He is also designing a 15" driver based x series sub for them as well that will go for $599 or 2/$999 which everyone at their forum is pretty excited about. But that is not due out until later in the spring.
