Hi all -- I've got a 7.2.4 atmos system set up. Revel Gem2 speakers L/C/R and Revel In-wall / In-ceiling for the surrounds and heights. When I watch a movie that has a prominent musical scene (e.g., Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or Mamma Mia), the music sounds a bit off to me. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it sounds slightly baffled or muffled. I can listen to same songs in stereo or multi-channel stereo via Tidal or Spotify and they sound great. Is this a normal thing regarding how music is mixed in atmos movie tracks? Is that the intent of the audio engineers? Or could there be something wrong? I'm not really sure how to even figure it out. Any thoughts appreciated. Dialog and general movie sounds are great...it's just prominent rock or pop type music that sounds this way. Thanks!

If you have a Denon or Marantz receiver make sure Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume and Cinema EQ are off.

I assume all speakers are set to small?
