Just saw this on the HDNet seven day schedule: (Sunday)


"10:30 PM Music Videos Premiere

Featuring various music videos, all in high definition"


Can anyone explain if these are just film upconverts?

That's great, thanks for pointing this out. The term "video" is a slight misnomer since many/most are filmed nowdays, so I'm guessing they might be HD transfers from the original film footage which HDNet have done themselves (remember a few months back when HDNet offered to do a transfer for any appropriate film material they could show on their channel). I doubt they would be 1080i video originals (but you never know). Some music videos have amazing production values and would be great to see the original film material in HiDef.

This has alot of potential IMO. I dont think 30 minutes will be long enough. We will be left wanting more.
