**** UPDATE **** **** UPDATE **** **** UPDATE ****
IT JUST ARRIVED 5 MINUTES AGO (8/1 11:25am...ordered 7/23)!
I was at home taking a crap(;-)) when I hear the roaring sounds of the UPS truck engine. I IMMEDIATELY wipe myself up (hehehe) to make sure I make it to the door before my wife (she still doesn't know...). But the UPS man just throws it on the ground and leaves, just like that (no wonder the service is called 'ground').
Unfortunately, the wife gets to the door first, she looks at the box and asks me never suspecting since the box is SO SMALL, "What is it?" I tell her it's dvds, as I trade extensively. But then she asks me, "Why is the box so big?(relative to the dvd trade boxes of course) How many are you getting?" I didn't answer and headed straight to my room with a HUGE grin on my face.
Guys, ALL OF YOU WHO ORDERED WILL GET THEM SOON! don't worry! I'm living proof!
-end update-
The automated Response gave me a UPS tracking number, and when I checked, it shows that it shipped on 7/31 and scheduled delivery to here in Fullerton, Calif. on 8/1! And I didn't even ask for next day shipping! Is this for real?!
(***update*** Upon checking the details, even though it was ground shipping, the package originated from the Ontario, CA hub on 7/31, which is only about 40 minutes away from home, thus the early scheduled delivery date of 8/1. It is now scanned at the Anaheim UPS which is about 20 minutes away!)
Guys, this IS happening! So, those who heard mid-Aug. shipping dates, cheer up. I think DELL just arbitrarily told that so they won't disappoint anyone IN CASE the worst happened.
Now what, now what....PS DVD player, screen, cable, ............what else?! what else?! I'm actually panicking with anticipation! Just like a 6 year old the day before x-mas!
Will keep you posted.
BTW, my order number was 614-518-4XX
