Are old, and yes i should replace them, but im broke from all teh good games out...

Both my controllers have similar but different issues.

Controller 1

Has the left analog stcik that always makes me walk slightly forward

Controller 2

has the right analog stick always makes me point slowly down.

They are day one launch controllers so yes i shoudl replace, but is there any way to calibrate controllers center point? Maybe a way to increase the dead zone? these are sixaxis(launch duh) and i dont want to throw them away, or buy new ones for another few months

If i take it apart, would you say teh chance of putting back together sucessfully is what %?

ITs been this way for maybe 6months. So its not a huge dela, ill still kick your butt in socom :p

My launch controllers do the exact samething. I tried putting a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the sticks to keep them from stricking so much. That worked for a while. I took mine apart and cleaned the lil analog sticks. It was a PITA to put back together. the Triggers (R2 L2) are not easy to put back together, and the chances are you wont get it right the first time. I got mine back together after a few tries. And the problem came back pretty quick. I finally gave up and picked up a new one during one of the Madness sales of silly season. Radio shack had the DS3 for 39 bucks one day.

Well I guess there really isn't much. I play alot with no sound so a rumble in my hands tells me I'm getting shot; or the bridge was blown or a gernade landed near by or just so I know my gun is shooting. I had a ruff time playing Socom:CA with no rumble there for awhile. I'm glad I got it back.

PS. I traded in a sixaxis controller and I got, I think $18 in store credit, cash would have been 20% less.
