My old sony (1998) integrated receiver is 500W, when I connected it to my UPS, along w/ other items like DVD player, Blu-ray player etc., each time I turn on the Sony receiver, the cooling fan of my Sony receiver turns on, due to transient response.

So since then, I have to connect that receiver to a total different outlet. (totally different sub-feeder)

Now, if I want to retire this receiver, and buy a new 5.1 integrated receiver from say Onkyo or Yamaha, is there any improvement for the above? As the voltage jump is very annoying and it already kill the battery of my UPS

Why do you even need an un-interruptible power supply connected to your audio equipment? Makes sense for computer equipment - none at all for audio equipment.
