Well, it happened. I had left the lens on my theater room's carpeted floor for a couple of months, tucked in a corner and wrapped in a towel, because of ongoing modifications to my hush box. When I went to pick it up to re position it in its place, I noticed that almost all the clear fluid had seeped out which soaked the towel. There appears to be a membrane of some sort (plastic?) inside the lens.


Disappointed and very sad


Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks for your support, Laurence. I need it. You have been very kind to me. For that, I am grateful.


Seng, I just read about another member (Joe Floyd) who has recently had the same thing happened to him. They just ended up exchanging his with a new one, and he was even happy to report it only took six days to get it done.


I sent Tim an email, and hope to hear back from him soon. I have always been one of the early supporters of this lens back since its inception years ago, and I am hopeful that a solution will be reached.
